Call for Applicants: LSA 2026 Workshop on "Governing the Machine: Digital Technology Policy Frameworks and Governance in Nigeria"
The expansion of digital technology has influenced several aspects of governance, research, leadership, and policymaking in Nigeria. While it’s difficult to say in clear terms if technology is helping governance in any positive way, what is clear is the lack of framework for understanding the intersections of technology, policymaking, and governance in Nigeria.
What are the existing frameworks for technology governance in Nigeria? And how has it changed over time? Who are the leading actors, and how is technology shaping or being shaped by political power? Is technology research influencing governance?
